RoboRewards provides a wide range of communications tools.


Types of Communications

RoboRewards offers multiple ways to communicate with contacts. 


Templates

Templates are the primary type of communications with contacts. They promote the reward program by advertising offers, highlighting surveys & conveying contact-specific information.


Offers

RoboRewards supports 17 different types of offers which act as incentives to contacts (increase points, reduce price, etc.). Businesses establish offers which support any combination of expiration and reuse.


Offers appear as icons (or text) in the template. Once the user clicks on the icon, a coupon displays which the contact can print.


Surveys

Surveys presume to collect opinions and preferences from contacts while providing the business valuable information to evaluate, improve & target reward programs. Surveys can also advertise the reward program.


The RoboRewards software automatically collects contact responses and provides mechanisms to follow up with automated replies or personal communications. See Evaluating Reward Programs for more information.


Other

Contacts can also see offers, surveys & other info about the reward program through an app, the post transaction page, or their profile page.


Methods of Communications

Each method supports both SMS (i.e. message to mobile device) and Email messaging. Businesses determine whether to send Email, SMS or both depending on the choice of the business owner or the contact's preference.


Campaigns

Campaigns control mass communications by advertising features of a reward program via Email or SMS messages to contact lists or segments. First, build a campaign which contains the message (using a built-in or custom template), then schedule the campaign to broadcast to the designated contact list(s) and/or segment(s).


Campaigns can send one or more instances at regular intervals (for example, send four messages weekly starting next Tuesday).


Autoresponders

Sends a message to a contact based on a completed activity (signup, complete profile, refer-a-friend, etc.). These range from simple "thank you" confirmations to new information to encourage contacts to continue interacting with the reward program.


NOTE - autoresponders send messages immediately


Triggers

A contact receives a message based on a specific event (birthdate, anniversary, inactivity, etc.). They can act as reminders to a contact (offer expires soon, etc.).


NOTE - triggers can take up to two minutes to send


Requirements for Communications

Businesses must purchase Email and/or SMS credits from RoboRewards as well as establishing accountability for communications in accordance with industry standard practice and federal law.


Sender Profiles

All Email communications with contacts flows through a Sender Profile. This "profile" consists of an Email address verified to receive and send messages.


NOTE - RoboRewards will not broadcast campaigns, triggers, etc. until the business verifies its sender profile.


Short Codes

SMS messaging requires an SMS short code for the United States (and other countries).
