View screens appear over a dozen times through every part of the menu system. This tutorial describes the common features found in these types of screens.

Navigation Setup

Many view screens depend on the currently selected business, reward program & location(s).

NOTE - Prior to entering a view screen, use the pullout menu to select the current business, reward program & location(s).

Other view screens depend on another selection (contact list, etc.). If prompted, select the appropriate item from the list and press the Next button.

Page Command Buttons

Most view screens include command button(s) at the top of the screen which perform a function independent of the rest of the screen (create an item).

Page Search Fields

Some view screens include search fields at the top of the screen. These fields search only for items currently displayed on the screen.

Multi-item Command Buttons

Some buttons on the top of the screen perform the same function on multiple items in the list (activate, delete, move, etc.). Click the check box (1st column) to select an item or clear the check box to deselect an item:

Deselect this item

Select this item

Then click the appropriate command button to perform that function on all the checked items.

Display Columns

Most of the columns in the view screen display summary information for items in the list. The specific columns vary from screen to screen (first name, last name, list name, template type, etc.). Some screens include different columns based on the type of the currently selected reward program.

The user cannot edit these columns or their contents directly (hence display columns), but the header at the top of the column can filter and sort the visible items in the list. To filter the displayed items:

  • Enter text in the search field
  • Click on the filter icon
  • Select the type of filter to apply and click

NOTE - Some filter searches are case sensitive

To clear the filter, click on the No Filter item in the filter list.

Action Column

The action column contains two or more icons representing actions to perform the to corresponding item. Action icons vary from screen to screen and may include icons from this list:

Edit this item

Delete this item

Copy this item

Control locations for this item

View this item

Login as this user

Send this campaign

Action icons effect only one item. To act on multiple items at the same time, use the select column and the multi-item commands at the top of the screen.

Page Size & Lock

The bottom of the list displays a page navigation tool bar and page size selection:

Long item lists (contacts, transactions, etc.) can easily extend beyond the default size (10 items) of the view screen. Use the page navigation tool bar to jump quickly between pages. To change the number of items displayed on each page, select from the Page Size pulldown menu and click. Click the Lock Page Size button to retain this setting for all view screens.
