Security Settings


We have implemented security features to enhance your program's defenses against unauthorized activities such as hacking and spamming. These features will offer stronger protection for your program and its users.


Security Settings


Location-Based Sign-up Restrictions
You can now restrict sign-ups based on geo locations, allowing you to block specific countries or states. This helps centralize membership to particular regions.



Company Email Sign-up Limits

Prevent account spammers by limiting sign-ups from specific email domains, ensuring only legitimate users can register with certain email addresses.



CAPTCHA Implementation
Enhance security by enabling CAPTCHA, which helps block bot activity and reduces automated sign-ups.



IP-Based Account Creation Limits
Limit the number of accounts created from the same IP address. Once the maximum is reached, no additional accounts can be created from that IP.



Block Email Extensions

Blocking specific email extensions will automatically prevent the creation of accounts using those extensions. This helps reduce spam and protects your program from unwanted or fake sign-ups. 



Mobile Device Restrictions
Each account will be tied to a single mobile device (Mobile ID). Additional accounts created from the same device will be restricted.




Gamification Security


No mobile app gamification winner on 1st transaction

This prevents fraud by ensuring new users do not win on their initial transaction. If a win occurs, they will receive only the lowest point award, deterring abuse of the app for rewards.

NOTE:
Gamification Security- To prevent signup fraud, the 1st mobile app transaction will not issue a winner. If a winner is required, the lowest point award will issue. This setting prevents fraud members from downloading the app to play a game & redeem a reward, then uninstall the app & repeat the process.




E-Gift & Mobile Verification Settings


Allow Mobile Signup SMS Callback

When enabled, this setting allows the mobile app to send a verification token via SMS to confirm the user's identity during signup, ensuring a secure registration process.



Require OTP for Mobile Sign-Up

When enabled, this setting verifies that the user’s phone number or email is valid by requiring them to confirm their contact information with a One-Time Password (OTP) sent via mobile or email.



Pending E-Gift Reporting

a page that will display all e-Gift redemptions from the mobile app and website. These redemptions will be pending until approved by a staff member.



Redeemed offers will initially appear in the Pending E-Gift report. Once a member redeems an e-gift offer and it is approved through the back office, any future redemptions of that member will no longer go into pending status—they will be marked as redeemed immediately. 


 


Milestone mobile verification

It is a security measure that verifies the authenticity of users, particularly those using an API. It involves periodic phone verification after reaching certain milestones, like a specific number of check-ins, to protect against malicious activities and ensure legitimate use of the system.


Do not allow mobile and email changes

To improve security and prevent fraud, users are not allowed to change their mobile numbers or email addresses. Frequent changes may indicate suspicious activity.
