Geolocation Settings



Introduction

In this article, we will discuss Geolocation Settings. You can find Geolocation Settings by navigating to Tools & Settings > Apps > Geolocation Settings

Geolocation settings enable members to check-in to a location using the mobile app and geofencing. The settings page allows customization of check-in rules based on program locations.

 



Geolocation Settings Grid

On this page, you have the option to create a "New Record" if you don't have one. You can also choose to edit any existing record by clicking the "edit" button in the action tab or clicking on the Geo Name. 



You also have the option to perform bulk actions by clicking the checkbox on the upper left and activate or deactivate the Geolocation Settings.  






Geo Connection

When you click the New Record button, you will be directed to the Geolocation Settings page. Here, you will choose the locations you want to include in this setting.  



After selecting the location, choose the Default Radius where members are allowed to check in. Also, choose a Geo Name and Location Tag for this setting.   


NOTE: 

  • Default Radius - The default range allowed for successful geolocation check-ins. This value is used in the Pin App when Pinning (staff member manual process using RoboRewards Pin App) the geolocation longitude and latitude. 



Check-In Rules & Messages

Next, you will need to select a Message & Send Order to customize the check-in rules at your locations.  


NOTE: 

  • Randomly - Sends messages in a random order each check-in. Typically used for random check-in rewards but consider using Gamification as there is more control. 
  • Loop - Follows the check-in message created workflow. After the first message, the second message will be sent no matter what the wait time. 
  • Loop & Expire - Similar to the Loop workflow, but after 2x the wait time, the message count starts back at One. For instance, if the wait time is 60 minutes & a player checks-in, after 120 minutes of wait time without a check-in, message one will send the next time the player checks in. Typically used to build up points issued on each check-in to keep players playing. 


At the bottom of the page, you have the option to choose between Pop-up or Pop-Up & PUSH notifications  



Additionally, you have the option to issue points when the message is sent.  


NOTE: 

  • Check-In Points 
    • Issue Check-In Points - The setting follows standard program rules. If each Check-In = I point, then 1 point will be issued per Check-In. If in doubt, use this setting as it’s the most common. 
    • Do Not Issue Check-In Points - If on, no points are issued per Check- In. The setting is typical in businesses that offer points for spending but wish to offer a special offer discount when entering a business location and checking-in on the app for the daily deal. 
    • Bonus Point Multiplier - A common setting to use if issuing random double or triple-point Check-In points. For instance, every 4th Check-In or randomly issue as a prize. To learn more, visit the tooltip on the Message & Send Order dropdown above. 


You have the option to customize the message that members receive when checking in at the location. Additionally, you can attach offers, for example, on the 3rd or 4th consecutive check-in. 




Geolocation Pop-ups

Next on the list is the Geolocation Pop-ups. Here, you can customize messages for a Successful Check-In or a Failed Check-in.  




QR Code

You can share the QR code with your members or potential customers who would like to take advantage of your rewards program or paste it on a banner in your business. This will allow them to easily download your program's mobile app. Once all the forms are filled out and the settings are finalized, you can click the "Save" button.  


NOTE: 

  • Static QR Code - If the store URLs change, the QR Code does not change.
